The energy sector is currently undergoing a metamorphosis, exploring alternate energy sources, responding to climate change, and evolving new business models. Therefore, we are intensifying our investment to further modernize our business and to prepare for the future petrochemical and energy requirements of our nation. To commemorate this investment, we are rebranding ourselves as Cnergyico Pk Limited.

It is my pleasure to announce the commencement of civil work of the Upgrade-I project. Upon completion, it will make Cnergyico the first refiner to produce Euro-V compliant fuels in Pakistan. The Upgrade-I project will include Pakistan’s largest fluidized catalytic cracking unit (FCC) and diesel hydro desulphurization unit (DHDS).

We have successfully completed major projects and achieved milestones that will be recorded not only in the history of Cnergyico but also in the Petroleum Sector of Pakistan. Our relentless effort and dedication in the past years have finally reaped success. We currently possess the largest oil refining complex in the country and operate Pakistan’s only Single Point Mooring (SPM), a deep-sea floating port that allows the transport of crude oil directly from crude carriers to storages of the Refining Complex.

With the blessings of Allah Almighty, we have achieved a combined crude oil refining capacity of 156,000 BPD, the highest in Pakistan, through our facilities at Mouza Kund, Hub, Balochistan. The refinery completed its initial run of about 48 hours during pre-commissioning activities, successfully producing on-spec HSFO, HSD, and Naphtha. Optimally the refinery can produce about 1.6 million tons of HSFO, 2.4 million tons of HSD, and 1.1 million tons of MS annually, significantly reducing the burden on Pakistan’s economy. Our isomerisation technology enables us to produce environment-friendly motor gasoline with negligible Benzene content.

Our Single Point Mooring (SPM) on the Hub coast enables us to handle bulk cargoes for crude & petroleum products, providing an efficient feedstock for our two operational refineries. The SPM buoy is anchored approximately 11.5 km off the coast of Hub, Balochistan, connected to Cnergyico’s storage facilities through a series of sub-sea and on-land pipelines of about 15 km. Due to a sea clearance of 25 meters, the SPM buoy can accommodate larger size vessels carrying Crude/ Petroleum products of over 100,000 tons.

We market our products through a network of retail stations across Pakistan. Our market presence is spread across the country from Karachi to Kashmir, with a retail station network of over 473 retail stations. We aspire to add considerable stations in the future to consolidate our market share. Apart from retail sales, we have a diversified consumer portfolio and have developed a strong customer base in bunkering and marine business, industrial consumer business, captive power projects, cement, and consumer goods companies. We have also carved a niche in the international market by supplying various products.

These steps, in the long run, will allow significant growth and expansion of the company business, poising the path to become a market leader of the energy and chemical industry of Pakistan. This is merely the beginning; may Allah bless us in our future endeavours
